Fun fact: This is the outtake “explicit” version of the theme song for the interview web series I used to do for Pioneer Press. I literally wrote the song in my head during lunch earlier in the day, when colleague Jolie Lee suggested (mostly in jest) that I call my interview show “Face to Face.” That night, I recorded the music, got my buddy James from down the street and then-girlfriend (now wife) Cynthia to help me with the chorus vocals, and the rest is history. I thought it was hilarious having such an aggressive song to kick off the show, followed by a laid-back and decidedly non-aggressive interview.
